See Group - the parent company of Eden Hotels and all future brands and businesses - announces two appointments to its leadership team: Jens Gmiat as Head of Operations and Ruben Satink as Chief Financial Officer. Both will play a key role in delivering Zien Group's ambitious growth plan, for both the existing portfolio and future acquisitions. Both started their positions in March 2023.
Gmiat adds extensive operational and commercial experience to Zien Group. He has over 25 years of experience at international brands such as Soho House, Ruby Hotels and Zoku. For the past decade, Gmiat has held the position of COO at leading hotel brands. Most recently, at Hotel Co 51, he was responsible for a portfolio of 40 hotels in Europe. Before that, as COO at Zoku International, he was involved in building the infrastructure to support hybrid hospitality with the home-office-longstay model. Prior to joining Zoku, Gmait was part of the team at Ruby Hotels, where he laid the foundations for the brand's 'Lean Luxury' philosophy at 15 hotels. In his new position, Gmiat is responsible for all operational activities of Zien Group.
Satink has more than 20 years of experience in finance and strategy and he has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at Zien Group. During his career, he has worked on four continents and in seven countries, including eight years in Russia, Central and Eastern Europe. He brings with him experience after previous positions in companies ranging from large corporations to family and PE firms.
He spent ten years working in international markets at GE, then Satink moved to Randstad Employment Agency where he served as VP Finance & Strategy in Europe. He then held the position of Finance Director Europe & Asia at global commodities trader ED&F Man, before moving to one of the world's largest fashion brands: PVF Corp, as Business Control and Investor Relations Director. Satink became CFO at IT consultancy Levi9 in 2019.
Satink replaces former CFO Joost Peeperkorn, who continues his career at one of Zien Group's shareholders.
