A beautiful hotel room with a luxurious Komoder massage chair. While listening to soothing music, you will be massaged - from your neck, to your shoulders and all the way down to your feet. Enjoy a moment of contemplation, while your body completely relaxes. Can you see yourself sitting there?
"A hotel room with a massage chair is a unique way for guests to experience personal tranquillity. A person experiences this after just a 20-minute relaxing massage. This increases the quality of the hotel experience and the likelihood of positive feedback," says Dessa
Mineva, manager of Komoder Rotterdam.
How it works. A guest sits in the massage chair and turns it on via remote control or the LED screen, depending on the model. The chair scans the body and determines where to start the massage based on body height. The massage starts at the neck and slowly works its way down and then back up.
Komoder's massage chairs feature automatic programmes. "Think of a mode for after exercise or for during work," says Dessa Mineva. "Our programmes are ideal for hotel guests who are not yet experienced with massage chairs. Guests who already know exactly what they need can also specify this themselves."
Komoder provides comfortable chairs for all types of hotel guests. "All our 18 models are different. For example, in terms of colour, the airbags and the way of massaging. That way, we try to cater to everyone. The higher the price range, the more customisable the chair is." The chairs also have speakers with bluetooth. "With these, a guest can listen to their own music during a massage. This way, guests can make their hotel room a little piece of home."
Nowadays, massage chairs are often located in hotel wellness areas. According to Dessa Mineva, that is not always the ideal place. She says a massage chair in a hotel room has many advantages. "I think you can make it more of a personal moment. In a private environment, someone can relax even better. So extra pleasant for the guests. Suppose you have a hotel with different themes in the rooms. Then it is possible to turn a number of rooms into luxury suites. In such a luxury suite, you then place a massage chair."
Komoder's latest innovation in the higher price range is the 4D massage chair. "The first three dimensions are: top to bottom, sides and pressure during the massage. 4D also allows you to alternate that pressure. So the massage chair can alternate different forces, just like a real masseur." To make the massage feel more realistic, the chair itself controls the alternation. "As a user, you can set the programme from hard to soft or from soft to hard. And whether that alternation should be smaller or larger. This way, the guest always gets a massage that meets their specific needs."
