BAUX and Tarkett are launching a joint colour palette that offers the opportunity to create healthy and sustainable interiors from floor to ceiling. Indeed, BAUX Acoustic Wood Wool tiles for ceilings and walls help absorb noise so you can work undisturbed and focused, while Tarkett AirMaster® flooring technology reduces fine dust so you can breathe easier and healthier. As of now, both brands colour in the same palette that ranges from earthy minerals to warm floral hues and lush forest tones, showing off a new look that creates visual unity alongside their stunning innovative character.
"For Tarkett, partnering with BAUX was natural, as we share the same strong commitment to design, well-being and sustainability," says Thomas Leneveu, vice president of the Benelux & Carpet Business Unit EMEA at Tarkett. "Our collaboration delivers the perfect mix of great design, improved acoustics and air quality and a genuine commitment to sustainability."
To achieve visual harmony between Tarkett and BAUX's multi-textural floor, wall and ceiling surfaces, the brands enlisted the help of international design studio Form Us With Love. It resulted in the BAUX x Tarkett colour palette for BAUX Acoustic Wood Wool and Tarkett AirMaster® carpet tiles and it includes six different colour styles: Midnights, Neutrals, Minerals, Oceanic, Florals and Forests. "With this selection of colours, we want to inspire professional designers to mix and match and offer an infinite colour palette that can provide diversity within architecture," says John Löfgren, co-founder of Form Us With Love.
Brought together by their shared vision of well-being and environmental responsibility, BAUX and Tarkett's solutions form a powerful tandem for improving indoor air quality and acoustics. Tarkett's AirMaster® carpet tiles allow designers to purify the air in indoor spaces, creating a healthier environment for people and the environment. Tarkett's patented DESSO AirMaster® technology helps improve indoor air quality by capturing and retaining particulate matter eight times more effectively than smooth flooring and four times more effectively than standard carpet.* The carpet tile material also helps to absorb and dampen noise.
BAUX Acoustic Wood Wool then brings together wood and cement in fully recyclable acoustic tiles with high functionality and low environmental impact. The tiles' open material structure effectively dampens sound and helps designers create interiors where people can rest, think and collaborate. The material also has excellent insulation, heat retention, strength, moisture resistance and fire resistance properties. "The integration of sustainable and well-being-enhancing materials is more than just a passing trend; it represents a crucial transition to designing spaces that prioritise environmental care, occupant health and long-term sustainability," says Fredrik Franzon, CEO and co-founder of BAUX. "This shift highlights an essential evolution in our approach to architecture and interior design. These should serve not only the environment, but also the well-being of people and society as a whole."
