Unburdening customers: from concept and design through production to installation and finishing

Think early enough to integrate curtains, window coverings and blinds into any hotel project

Building, converting or renovating a hotel involves many challenges. And then one does not always immediately think of curtains, window decoration and blinds. Yet it is advisable to consider these at an early stage, because integration into rooms, restaurants or other areas of a hotel is often not easy. The specialists at fasset®, with almost forty years of experience in interior textiles and interior decoration, are an ideal partner to turn architects' and building owners' ideas into reality. They rise to any challenge to bring total projects to a successful conclusion.

"For us, no interior is complete without a touch of textiles. Since 1983, we have specialised in the supply and integration of curtains, bedding, carpet and wall coverings, blinds and acoustic solutions as well as interior finishing. We support building owners and (interior) architects with advice and product know-how. This takes into account the aesthetic aspect, but also pays attention to light and space, acoustics, comfort and ease of use through technical operation or automation," says managing director Tom Himpe. "Our aim is to completely unburden our customers: from concept and design through production to installation and finishing."

Added value

With every project, the fasset® team looks for solutions that perfectly meet the customers' requirements. Out-of-the-box thinking, creativity and perseverance are in their genes. In terms of dimensions, quantities, shapes and complexity, there are hardly any restrictions. Anything goes. That is why these interior experts are also involved in the most diverse projects, for example in hotels in Belgium and throughout Europe, but also beyond.

"In our showroom, we introduce customers to the rich range of contemporary and classic fabrics we can handle. The strength of our own ready-to-wear workshop in Izegem cannot be underestimated. In fact, our people can handle all types of textile processing, trimming and ready-to-wear, whether standard solutions or customisation," the business manager explains. "And there is more, because in addition to production, we also make a difference with our own placement service. This team has modern tools and is constantly being retrained in the latest techniques. This way, we always guarantee the best end result to our customers. You can also call on us for partial assignments: technical and aesthetic advice during the construction processes, coordination on site, technical assistance, working out a schedule, ...."

Fasset® specialists were also involved in the realisation of the Plopsa Hotel.

Thinking about implementation

At fasset®, they are preferably involved in a project as early as possible. This allows them to think about the implementation right away, thus avoiding problems during integration. "What if it turns out that the chosen curtain system is not compatible with the arrangement and integration of the windows, if the radiators are suddenly in the way or the cabling connections hang in plain sight? Then the client is at a loss," Tom Himpe says. "Such situations can be avoided. Thanks to our years of experience in the field of interior construction and our knowledge of the many curtain systems and other interior textile products available, we offer a tailor-made solution for every project. We always work in close consultation with architects, allowing them to focus more on the practical, technical and aesthetic aspects of a building project. We recommend coordinating all materials in a construction or renovation project. To do this, it is best to collect all possible samples and compare them. In any case, this prevents frustrations afterwards."■
