SALTO and Stardekk join forces for commission-free bookings

Over the past two decades, SALTO has become a leading market player in innovative, smart and secure access control solutions. One of the success factors for this strong position is the SALTO Technology Partner programme, which allows technology companies to enrich their (software) solutions with SALTO products. Eric Beling, marketing and business development manager, explains how the cooperation with Belgian company Stardekk offers new opportunities for customers.

In the field of digital access control and provisioning, technology is not standing still. "Once physical keys were the norm, but now smartphone apps and electronic access codes dominate," says Eric Beling, marketing and business development manager at SALTO Systems. "These technological advances guarantee not only a more streamlined and customer-friendly check-in process, but also better security, as hotel operators or employees can easily manage access rights. Hotel guests enjoy more flexibility and security when entering their hotel room or hotel facilities."

An additional advantage is that SALTO's systems can be integrated with an existing building management system and with other security platforms, such as alarm and video surveillance. "We offer all our customers - including in the hospitality sector - a wide choice of electronic door hardware, electronic cylinders, wall readers, locker locks, electronic padlocks and energy-saving devices. One of the market players offering an integrated booking engine is Belgium's Stardekk. Besides booking engines, this Bruges-based company also offers other software solutions tailored to hotels, such as channel managers, Cloud PMS, hospitality websites and e-mailing tools. "For hotels, B&Bs and holiday rentals, Bookingplanner from Stardekk is an ideal solution for automating internal management processes and improving the guest experience," Eric points out. "Searching for a hotel online can be combined with an online reservation and payment via a QR code, after which you receive a digital SALTO key with accompanying PIN code from the Stardekk programme. Thanks to this all-in-one software solution, as a hotel manager you can easily manage your bookings, automate front-desk tasks and generate clear reports. And last but not least: as a hotelier, you build a direct relationship with your (future) hotel guests and you no longer pay expensive commissions to external booking channels."

Stardekk's booking software integrates two SALTO solutions: SALTO Space (on-premise) and SALTO KS (cloud).
