Reception staff use tablets and guests consult messages via drop-down menus while waiting. They scroll through the restaurant menu, available services and activities such as the wellness or fitness area or the offerings of nearby partner companies. Staff update this information and upload photos. Our team of graphic designers develops the content based on the hotel's corporate identity. Strong wifi everywhere, a prerequisite

A Wi-Fi connection must be reliable and work optimally throughout the hotel. As soon as guests enter the hotel, they want to connect to the internet. "Depending on the size of the hotel, we install digital signage screens on the floors, in the wellness and gym areas," says Juliette Châron. "Wifi is routed by us right into the rooms with sufficient bandwidth to meet guests' needs and coordinated with the hotel facilities. This way, every seminar or stay runs smoothly. After all, in the rooms, guests like to watch their favourite programmes just like at home. On TV, but also via a Chromecast, Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube, ... They can do so in visual comfort on a large screen, without hoteliers having to pay for additional channels."

Cost and energy management

Screen Services guarantees 100 per cent high-quality technology solutions at a monthly cost per room. This also includes 24-on-7 technical support. In addition, hoteliers can now call on a new connected service: energy saving. Juliette Châron: "After years of research and a year of pilot projects, we developed an energy-saving solution specifically for hotels. No tedious works, just the installation of the Zigbee software. Simply explained: we think in three scenarios with an unoccupied room, a near-occupied room and an occupied room. Different sensors for presence in the room, on the windows, on the thermostat, ... allow the temperatures in the room to gradually increase or decrease. So guests always enjoy the ideal temperature during their stay. They set their preferred temperature, but equally, the air conditioning turns off when they open the window or activates when it is too hot. This results in energy savings of twenty to thirty per cent."

Zigbee offers an energy-efficient solution for hotels.

Extension options

As a full partner, Screen Services is also ready with practical extensions for the back office of hotels. This way, you deploy a good WiFi connection for the staff at the front desk, in the kitchen, in the offices, for stock management, ... "Of course, this is how you respond to modern needs and take a future-oriented approach. The standards for stock management change every four years and of course you have to meet them," Juliette adds. "In practice, the installation has to be reviewed every six to eight years. From Screen Services, we recommend certainly not waiting longer than that period. Reliable Wi-Fi is the basis anyway."
