Exclusive design fair sets high bar
Design professionals can visit Kortrijk Xpo again next autumn to discover the latest trends and innovations at Design Nation. A trade fair with a premium range of design furniture, lighting, interior textiles and decorative objects. Also a very suitable outing for hoteliers to gain knowledge and inspiration.
On 17 and 18 October, Design Nation will take place. For two days, Kortrijk Xpo will be the hotspot for design, open only to professionals from different sectors, such as furnishers of high-end hotels and restaurants, office design, project development, the medical and public sector to interior architects and retailers in design objects and furniture.
As far as exhibitors are concerned, the bar has been set high. Design Nation targets national and international premium brands that can surprise and inspire discerning visitors with innovative products, both technological and creative. The bulk of the offer will consist of furniture, both indoor and outdoor, with kitchen and bathroom fittings, interior textiles, lighting and decorative objects also on offer.
Innovation is the common thread at Design Nation. A jury of design professionals will judge the innovative character and creative level of the collections and objects on display. The special plug-and-play formula not only appeals incredibly, it allows all the objects displayed at Design Nation to be shown to their best advantage.
Exhibition manager Hannelore Caenepeel: "We aim to give our exhibitors maximum support so that they do not have to invest in an expensive stand. The well-designed layout of the exhibition floor, where stands are separated by semi-transparent curtains, is incredibly triggering to take a look at the stands. Exhibitors can choose from stands of 24, 40 or 80 square metres."
Trend watchers from different sectors and countries will give talks on the trend stage. Among others, the winner of the 'Designer of the Year' competition organised by Belgian magazine Knack Weekend & Le Vif Weekend will speak at a trend session, as will Judith Van Vliet and Hilde Francq of FRANCQ COLORS.
