BLIZZ takes first steps in b2b wellness
Soon, Gervi - known as designers of in-house private wellness - will launch the new brand/company BLIZZ: customised professional wellness projects. While BLIZZ remains true to Gervi's core values and philosophy, this brand-new company is completely different in that it focuses exclusively on the professional market. This includes large-scale projects commissioned by architectural firms, villa builders, garden designers, wellness outfitters, hotels and interior designers. CEO Marjolein Nijs and commercial director Bart Daems of BLIZZ say this meets an urgent need within the sector.
BLIZZ takes its name from the English word 'bliss', meaning happiness and well-being, and symbolises relaxation and health. While Gervi focuses on individuals and end users (b2c), BLIZZ will focus on larger and more exclusive projects for corporate clients (b2b).
"Within the sector, there has been demand for such a player for some time," says commercial director Bart Daems. "We were often asked whether Gervi also carried out professional projects for companies or hotels. After our own market research, it turned out that there was virtually no Belgian competition, apart from a few foreign companies."
CEO Marjolein Nijs: "BLIZZ will act as a leading developer of wellness projects, supervising large-scale projects from start to finish in cooperation with the right suppliers and partners. From concept to full realisation, including beautiful visualisations, design drawings, installation and even maintenance: the aim is to completely unburden the client. While BLIZZ's offering is similar to Gervi's, there are some key differences. For example, BLIZZ will also offer swimming pools and its staff will focus more on joining forces and engaging high-quality suppliers for each individual project, even if it includes wellness solutions that fall outside the standard range."
At the beginning of 2023, Marjolein Nijs took over the leadership of Gervi from her father and became CEO. With a strong focus on expansion, she brought new energy to the company. The launch of BLIZZ is a successful example of this. Although Marjolein Nijs is also in charge of BLIZZ, the two companies operate completely independently of each other. Rather, the cooperation will be symbiotic, with BLIZZ being able to rely on the parent company's more than 35 years of experience and expertise.
"For example, the BLIZZ name will not be seen in Gervi's showrooms," Marjolein continues. "But if desired, we are happy to invite end customers to test products extensively. At Gervi, we always strive to find the right wellness solution for each customer and that is of course also the first priority at BLIZZ."
Bart Daems: "Moreover, BLIZZ will be able to rely on Gervi's extensive network of suppliers and full technical support. Where Gervi stands for first-class wellness solutions for private customers, BLIZZ goes for luxurious wellness projects for business customers. Gervi is the undisputed market leader in the b2c sector. With BLIZZ, we aim for a similar position in the professional b2b market. We are ambitious!
