Innovative Brustor terrace canopy in four-star Italian hotel

A pleasant and cosy outdoor environment for guests and visitors, more efficient use of outdoor space and a top look for the property. These are just some of the benefits of a professionally installed terrace roof in a hotel. You can admire what this looks like in practice at the northern Italian Napura Art & Design Hotel - near Bolzano. The hotel opted for a coupled B200XL canopy in star configuration. A solution that both the hotel staff and their guests have already enjoyed.

In the first edition of this magazine (summer 2023), you could read how Brustor has become a reference in Outdour over the past decades. With an innovative range of articulated awnings, veranda blinds, screens and terrace coverings - designed and manufactured in-house - this one hundred per cent Belgian family company is pioneering modern and versatile shade solutions for outdoor spaces.

One of the showpieces in Brustor's range is the B200XL slat roof, a real crowd pleaser. In fact, this versatile outdoor space canopy is modularly available in large sizes and can be placed in the most diverse combinations: stand-alone, attached, with double roof, as a built-in roof, ... The possibilities are endless.

To see the Brustor trials in practice, we head for the northern Italian city of Bolzano. Close to this city you will find the stylish Napura Art & Design Hotel, a luxurious four-star hotel with elegant suites decorated in the traditional style of South Tyrol. Hotel guests and visitors can relax on the rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Alps.

This relaxing enjoyment is now taken to another level thanks to the installation of a Brustor B200XL canopy on a roof terrace area of 73 square metres. A reed green colour (RAL6013) ensures that the canopy blends seamlessly into its surroundings and matches the soothing hotel atmosphere. Thanks to built-in ZIP screens and LED lighting on the gutters, hotel guests enjoy drinks on the terrace until late at night, excellently protected from wind and insects. And with extra privacy as icing on the cake.

This project proves how, as a hospitality operator, you can shade a terrace of any size and shape, tailored to your (customers') wishes and needs. The installed B200XL lamella roof was the best solution due to its flexible (star) configuration options and the chance to install a free-standing canopy. Moreover, the canopy at the Napura Art & Design Hotel is firmly anchored, which adds to its stability and only enhances hotel guests' comfort. With the tilting slats, hotel employees can dose the desired sunlight or necessary shade and also create natural ventilation.

The B200(XL) remains a tried and tested and tasted solution for professional patio covers. With a wide range of RAL colours, the Brustor team can design a covered terrace completely in the style of a catering establishment. Moreover, these canopies are easy to operate remotely and require little maintenance or technical knowledge from staff.

Besides solutions for a freestanding canopy, Brustor also offers applications for adjoining terraces. This includes the B128XL, a pergola with built-in screens that disappear completely into the structure. This way, guests enjoy the benefits of a sunshade combined with the advantages of a terrace canopy. Sliding slat roofs are another application, where the slats in the roof can both open and tilt (B600S) or are provided as a glass roof (B800). Even a combination of glass and slats (B720) is perfectly possible. It is clear that Brustor excels in customisation and therefore finds a suitable solution for every demand.
