Hotel tower Silt in Middelkerke chooses sanitaryware by Duravit

The hotel tower Silt, on the Middelkerke coast, opened its doors at the end of March. For all sanitary fittings, the new hotel teamed up with designer bathroom manufacturer Duravit. Silt Hotel exudes both strength, sobriety and sophistication, with a focus on the sea and dunes. The project reflects well the resort's character and values, which were carried through to the smallest room. Thus, the bathrooms are furnished with Duravit products from the Architec, Circle, D-Neo, DuraStyle, DuraSystem, Sustano, Vero Air and Wave series.

With an event space, three creative food concepts, a casino and a four-star hotel, Silt Hotel aims to become the destination for epicureans of all kinds. The harmonious fusion of architecture with the lively dunes marks the birth of a timeless icon on the Belgian coast.

Remarkably, the organic dune landscape is reflected in the interior, forming a whole with the outdoor environment. To continue this design in the sanitaryware, the choice fell on Duravit products from the Circle, Wave, D-Neo, DuraStyle, Sustano, Vero Air and Architec ranges. The tapware from the Wave and Circle ranges are a great example of this. Wave stands for a modern, young design style. With Circle, Duravit aims for a minimalist design. Details such as the gap between the body and handle, which has been reduced to a minimum, or the integrated jet regulator, emphasise this perfectly sleek look. In addition, several DuraStyle toilets were also installed, characterised by a design where ceramic and seat optically merge into a harmonious and elegant unit.

Besides connecting with the environment, sustainability was also central to the character of Silt Hotel. In the bathrooms, this vision is reflected in the choice of Sustano, Duravit's first recyclable shower tray. Sustano shower trays made from DuraSolid® Nature, Duravit's recyclable cast mineral material, are easier to transport due to their low weight, thus contributing to the reduction of CO2 emissions. The material's lifespan and recyclability after the use phase also make an even greater contribution to the environment.
